	We like to have 8 weeks for production but in some cases can produce some designs in as little as 3 weeks.   In all cases, we prefer to have as much time as possible especially for custom, heavily beaded or liquid beaded dresses. Born & raised in Dallas, Darius moved to Norman Oklahoma in 1987 after graduation from Lake Highlands High School to attend the University of Oklahoma.  It was during this important time in college that darius confirmed it was the world of fashion design that was his calling. The brand appropriately named Darius Cordell is a fashion company of couture clothing that produces lovely beaded pageant gowns.  We have manufactured our very own pageant gown designs with the kindest of care since 1996.   The thriving company recently relocated back to Darius' native home where he has experimented selling his pageant dresses to contestants, directors and consultants.  Some of his former clients have competed in the Mrs. World America, Teen USA, Miss Texas pageants and other various states in the region as well as throughout and across the country.  

Now that the world wide web internet has become so wide spread darius cordell designs can reach pageant gown competitors wearing pageant dresses in countless regions across the world via our on line catalog where hundreds of photos of our collections can be viewed 24/7.  However most of our pageant gowns are made to order since there are not too many people who seriously compete in these pageants that want to wear something that anyone else has already worn.  For years we focused primarily on pageant dresses.  Later on our focus moved towards mother of the bride and formal evening wear.  And now that we are in a new location we are going back to our roots and have turned our focus back to select pageant dress users in the Metroplex area in addition to marketing to top contestants in other parts of the miss usa group, Teen competitions, Universe & Global pageantry, Mrs. pageants and Miss America systems.  

We still offer our clothing wholesale to qualified retailers for resale via regional markets for even further exposure nationwide.  However the direct consumer response for teens and women needing pageant gowns and beaded dresses locally and via mail order through the internet has been really great.  The majority of our clients are mail order buyers who order via our catalog.  Our private designer studio where appointments can be taken to order pageant dresses is perfectly located with in the fast growing city of Frisco which is approximately twenty miles just north of Dallas Texas.   We are stationed and work from the hackberry office complex by appointment only.

Mail order purchases from the southern states like Alabama, Georgia or Florida are ok for pageant gowns.  We welcome orders for beaded dresses from any of the united states and Canada.  We have had request for our garments from out of the country and the uk also.  Most of our orders come from the north east around new York, Rhode island, Connecticut and Massachusetts.  Texas has seen many of the winners from the pageantry world.  Some say it is one of the largest and most old school pageant states in the union.  Many of the western states like California, Mexico and Arizona are popular states for teen attire as well.

Beaded Gowns and other formal wear garments are elegant and sophisticated so they can be worn for other important special occasion events other than for pageant wardrobe.  Our evening dresses and ball gowns are timeless and have proven so by many of the people who contact us and order repeatedly each year.  There was a time when these types of items were considered very stagey and over beaded but we have continuously tried to make sure our product was understated and simple yet with a powerful stage presence.  

Even though the fully beaded (or what some may call liquid beaded) evening gowns are trying to make a serious come back from the 80's and early 90's....still, simple pageant gowns or fabric pageant dresses can also make just as much of a statement if not sometimes more.  really more times than not it depends on the individual wearing the garment instead of a set rule.  If the person wearing it likes beaded dresses and can carry it off well then more power to them.  However in the same regard someone who does not particularly like heavily beaded dresses or fully beaded pageant gowns should not be counted off for not wearing one - when that may not be their individual style or preference.

For pageants and competitions we suggest either making changes to our evening gowns or requesting a totally custom pageant dress - so that you can stand out from the rest.  that is why we welcome any changes to our designs.  We will also welcome a clients own sketches and photos for them to help communicate what type of evening wear they want for their competition.  most of the couture custom pageant gowns are not shown on our site.  However upon request we can send you photos of some of our previous custom designs via email.
