Born and raised in the lovely city of Dallas Texas, Darius Cordell moved to the college town of Norman Oklahoma in 1987 after graduation from Lake Highlands High School to attend the University of Oklahoma.  It was during this time in college that he confirmed it was the world of fashion specializing in designer evening gowns was his passion.  So the journey began.  Then luckily and with many blessings after some moderate local success in Oklahoma, Darius decided that he was ready to take his dress designs to the national level.  It was then, that the marriage of determination, compassion, design, &  fashion sense were perfectly melded into Darius Cordell producing his own collection of high end ladies evening wear ball gowns & elegant mother of the bride dresses.  Proudly and with much vigor he and his team introduced his first inventory collection of formal dresses at the Atlanta Apparel Market in October of 1996. This was the beginning of the label "Darius Cordell" taking its rightful place as a contender in the pageant gowns and designer evening dresses arena along with all of the other popular companies that had been in the business for years prior.  Just over a year later, this newly founded fashion company introduced its first collection of informal designer wedding dresses that has since evolved into a successful line on its own and is widely sought after.
